Verwondering tijdens wandelingen

Als geboren en getogen Maastrichtenaar wandel ik met u door de prachtige straten van Maastricht. Steden als Parijs, Rome, Barcelona of Lissabon, wel aardig maar kunnen volgens de echte “Sjeng” niet tippen aan Maastricht.

In 1980, was er voor mij alleen zwartwitfotografie. Toen kleurenfotografie mogelijk werd, duurde het tot 2016 om te begrijpen dat monochrome fotografie van steden, omgeving, portretten en modellen ook mijn grote interesse kregen. Dit boek laat dat zien.

Straatfotografie is een fotografiegenre waarin de mens en zijn omgeving centraal staan. Je kunt het als een kunstzinnige vorm van documentaire fotografie beschouwen en tegelijkertijd als een momentopname die de kijker weet te treffen.

Dit boek vormt een reflectie op zijn fascinatie voor verstilde momenten en verborgen schoonheid. Elk gedicht en elke foto vertellen samen een verhaal van rust, stilte en verwondering.

Er is al veel geschreven over Delft. Er zijn al veel foto's gemaakt van Delft. Nooit eerder werden beeld en tekst m.b.t. Delft op deze wijze samengevoegd. Een uniek document voor een ieder die van geschiedenis, foto's, mooie verhalen of Delft houdt.

Dit is een fotoboek van de jaarlijkse Tilburgse Kermis, waar ik sinds 2001 haast naast woon. Een hele grote happening voor velen. Met veel lawaai en bonte kleuren. Dit is het resultaat van 18 jaar fotografie van de opbouw, de mensen en de attracties.

Boek voor individuele fotografen, maar vooral voor leden van fotoclubs, over visuele geletterdheid, fotoselecteren, fotobespreken en jureren. Verder over context, fotoseries maken, fotografische genres en nog veel meer praktische en theoretische zaken.

Hij had kunnen volstaan met deze foto’s en een simpel onderschrift. Maar vervolgens vroeg hij diverse mensen om daar een gedicht bij te maken. Dat leidt tot een verrassende combinatie van beeld en tekst. Eric van Oosterhout, burgemeester Emmen

Straatfotografie in Tsjechie door Ofoto Ray. Foto's genomen in de periode tussen 2010 en 2020. Tijdens zijn veelvuldige bezoeken aan Praag en Tsjechië maakte Ofoto Ray vele straatfoto's. In dit eerste deel vindt u circa 100 zwart wit foto's.

Dit boekje komt tot stand omdat ik ben uitgekozen als kunstenaar om aan dit project mee te doen. Ik als fotograaf die mijn foto's omzet in digital fin-Art.
