Synopsis

Nottingham Forest reporter for the Nottingham Post, Paul Taylor, takes a look back at the 2014-15 season which was full of many highs and lows, which eventually ended with the Reds finishing in 14th place in the Championship. The season began on a positive note as manager Stuart Pearce went the first two months of the campaign unbeaten before seeing his side slip to a terrible run of form, eventually leading to the sacking of ‘Psycho’ at the end of January, 2015. February saw new hope for Forest as Dougie Freedman took over the reins and things began well, with Dougie’s side picking up eight wins in ten league games, keeping any hopes of reaching the play-offs alive. However, their end of season form saw those hopes dashed as Forest remained winless in their final eight fixtures, which saw them plummet down the table into 14th position, while in the cups things weren’t much better – although they did enjoy a day out at Tottenham in the third round of the Capital One Cup. In this season-in-review book, we get expert analysis from former Forest greats, fans and deliver our own unique school report.
