Amie J is a Birmingham based creative with over 5 years in the industry freelancing in the arts and performance scene, with a passion for poetry and spoken word. Growing up British Chinese, she has the best of both worlds, however felt she could not express herself as easily as she wanted. So she turned to her poetry which shows just how strength got her through it all. A British Chinese creative grew up in Birmingham, she has self-acclaimed herself as a spoken word poet, artist, actor performing in theatre and in film locally alongside her full time office job. With all the physical theatre she has taken part in since 2019, such as the Birmingham Opera Company and Move Midlands. It wasn't until the pandemic, she has found a deep passion for writing creatively. Her work has an authentic voice for her audience to grasp her story telling in a way that captivates and aims to portray a true reflection of her life in England from relationships, the NHS, the typical English weather we all love to talk about!
