Marilise Rezende Bertin is a certified English and Portuguese teacher with a degree in Letters from FFLCH, USP (Faculty of Philosophy, Languages, and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo). She holds a master's degree in English literature and has worked extensively with Shakespearean texts. She completed her doctorate at the same institution. Marilise has published translations and adaptations of Shakespeare's works and was a finalist for the Jabuti Award in 2006 with her bilingual adapted edition of "Hamlet." Besides her academic background, she is a professor at a state institution of higher education in technology. Marilise is an active Spiritist Kardecist and a medium for psychography and psychophony. Her first psychographed book, "Segredos da Cidade de Lyon" (Secrets of the City of Lyon), tells the life story of the spirit Louis, who was born in France during the 18th and 19th centuries, narrated by Louis himself.
