About Sai Nimeesha Maddi
Nimeesha, an 11-year-old with a love for cricket and storytelling, wrote this book to empower girls to play cricket and prove that we can be just as good—if not better—than the boys. She’s faced her share of "cricket is for boys" comments, but that only fuelled her determination to show the world otherwise.
Inspired by her father, who was her first coach, mentor and her biggest cheerleader, Nimeesha learned to swing a bat before she could even tie her shoes! With this book, she hopes to inspire girls everywhere to grab their bats, step onto the field, and play with confidence. Her message is simple: cricket is for everyone, and girls have every right to shine in the sport.
When she’s not busy writing or perfecting her game, Nimeesha loves spending time with her family, learning new tricks, and showing that no dream is too big if you believe in yourself. If you tell her she can't do something, she'll do it five times better!
