As they started their journey across the field, they could see a truck load of timbers heading in the same direction. A large crane stood idle at the gap in the perimeter fence, its job done for the day. Three of four long lengths of timbers were hanging from its hook, tied back to the base of the arm to stop them swaying in any wind. Dusk was starting to settle over the base.
