Benin Kingdom in West Africa is one of the oldest kingdoms in the world, this kingdom has survived more than ten centuries, although many have read about this kingdom, but not many understands what has kept this kingdom to remain up till today without the corruption of modern civilization. this is the major purpose for the creation of this book. As an indigene of Benin kingdom from one of the major ruling houses, i have taken time to carry out a comprehensive research on the history, culture, tradition, myth, ceremonies etc. The book showcases the intriguing customs, processions, and ritual dances of the igue festival accompanied by insightful revelations, lyrics, and poetry that celebrates and explores the rich history of the Benin kingdom.
