Synopsis
From quarks to black holes, "Far Beyond the Sun" aims to tell a pictorial and basic mathematical story of the universe. This is achieved in the context of particles and energy. This story is ideal for pre-university, university, or people of similar ages with an interest.
The first part of the story introduces the beginning of the universe and the fundamental laws which govern its behaviour. With the introduction of nuclear decay, electromagnetism, and the basic building blocks of life...particles, significant concepts such as chemical bonding are then surveyed.
Using this knowledge, the second part of the story discusses what we have pharmaceutically and technologically achieved in terms of the human race. Furthermore, in the context of energetics, the challenges that we face and lie ahead are discussed with a description of possible immediate and long-term solutions.
To conclude the tale, the possible fate(s) of the universe is then studied. Finally, the current leading theories to describe how the microscopic and macroscopic realms work together within this amazing universe in which we spectate as a mere mid-point are revealed.
