Margaret Thatcher

Born on October 13, 1925, in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Margaret Hilda Roberts (later Thatcher) exhibited early signs of her remarkable intellect and determination. Raised in a modest family, she studied chemistry at Somerville College, Oxford, where she developed a keen interest in politics and joined the Conservative Association. She married Denis Thatcher in 1951 and embarked on a political career that would ultimately make her an iconic figure in British history.
