About Niels van Londen
Niels van Londen is an architectural and urban planning enthusiast living in Tiel, one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. Growing up in a city steeped in history and tradition, he was deeply affected by the damage inflicted by WWII and the subsequent embrace of modernist architecture that stripped the city of its soul and character. At first, he thought this was simply a matter of taste, but as he delved deeper into the subject, he realized that it was a matter of human well-being. Determined to make a difference, he has dedicated his time to promoting traditional architecture and urban planning practices that prioritize the well-being of residents. His book, "New Traditional Architecture: A Short Plea for Future Human Well-Being", is a culmination of his research and findings, and is a call to action for architects, urban planners, and anyone interested in creating happier and healthier communities.
