Cliffor William mellor

Visited with Canadian friends a small local museum in Ontario where only the first two pages of the attestation papers of Clifford William Mellor were present. Clifford was the 9th child in a poor English farmers family and therefor could not take over the farm. He left for Canada to find his luck and after a few years joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Unfortunately he was killed within a few days at the front during the battle at Vimy ridge in April 1917. This is another story of a young men who must not be forgotten……
