Synopsis
In this book, I use a number of metaphors, to help clarify what psychoanalysis is trying to tell us about the psychological make-up and functioning of man.
Hoping that this gives the reader more of a feeling with this theory and vision, I follow the way of putting next to each other multiple telling comparisons.
We compare the freezing of consciousness by the ego for instance with the sociological activity of the police.
The symbolic structuring of the imaginary is related to both a computer programming and a musical language as well as to the function of politics.
In putting together these levels of psychodynamic functionality, I try to reason that psychoanalysis makes it comprehensible that communism as thus far practiced has necessarily failed.
In order to show a way out, I turn to the East, to the Buddha, and advocate for the solution of the mushin beyond that of the sinthome.
Thus, I try to make a case for anarchism, and why it is not so cheap or strange to plea for an absence of putting pressure upon the human soul, when this clearly can only mean the death of his natural intelligence.
About Steven Vlaeyen
