Hanging Gallows

Based on true events, this short story recreates the life of Alice Riley. Once living on Ireland, she is taken to colonial Georgia as a debtor. There, she is to work off her debt. Along the way, she faces months of agony. She must leave a life she once known and embrace those who strip her of her own identity and justice.
