Un libro de apoyo y crítica

Kris Rendon began writing and translating as a student at Wesleyan University. There, she translated the novel Todos mienten, by Spanish writer Soledad Puértolas, a current member of the Spanish Royal Academy. The translation came accompanied by another translation (of a short story, "El origen del deseo", by the same author), a chronology and an epilogue, and received High Honors. Shortly after graduating with Honors from Wesleyan, she moved to Madrid, where she worked as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language (Instituto Internacional, Bridge International), a translator, an interpreter (Alfaguara, Lolafilms), a reader (Alfaguara), a subtitler (Bandaparte) and a script analyst (Lolafilms). Right before the turn of the millennium, she returned to her hometown of New York City, where she completed a Master's in Spanish at Columbia University.
