Synopsis
It centers around a young girl Marissa Williams who enjoys a comfortable life with her parents. But one day while they’re on vacation in Blackpool from their lives in New York, Marissa’s parents drown in the sea causing her to turn orphan.
From there she is faced with a setback as she is tricked into attending St Paul’s Orphanage, a poorly kept and unfriendly place where orphan children are not taken care of properly.
It is a failure of an orphanage that does not adhere to the needs of its pupils. The only consolation she has over there is in the form of a friend Torrie Foster whom she immediately becomes best friends with. They share in all the setbacks, hardships and sorrows that come while living in that dreadful place. They endure four miserably horrible years of their lives over there at St Paul’s Orphanage till they decide they can take it no more.
Both girls plan an escape from St Paul’s Orphanage and become the only two girls to ever have escaped from St Paul’s Orphanage. But while they escape, they hop onto a boat that drifts them off at sea and they become hopelessly lost.
