Synopsis
For at least ten years Mum and Dad have taken their baby away with them in the caravan. He has always loved being outdoors; the fresh air; the walking and running. Water is also a passion of his and when swimming in the river or the sea he fishes enthusiastically for rocks on the bottom, bringing them to the surface for his parents. Life is fun. That is until the three go away to Devon for a week, when he comes to realise - and his parents, too - that he can't keep doing it. It's too exhausting. From now on he's going to have to stay home when they go away. Home, but not alone, he starts to keep a diary for when Mum and Dad get back. When his parents decide to visit family in America, he knows they are going to be away for a long time. He maintains his diary, but he's also interested to know how they spend their time away. Burma wants to know about The Americans.
