This impetus is born of two impressions which are contradictory only at first glance. Our society is significantly marked by longing for a clear future picture. The magnetic attraction of simple answers is just as symptomatic of this as the withdrawal into hermetic filter bubbles.
The second observation: We aren’t holding a dialogue about the future, at least not sufficiently. And yet every one of us carries our personal future picture within us – possibly several of them: some worth striving for, some less so. About Prof. Dr. Daniel Cebo
Daniel Cebo is a controversial German-Serbian life scientist deeply passionate about humanity's future. He is currently focusing on topics spanning human engineering, cyberbiosecurity, robotics (humanoids), and AI. According to Daniel, "Human evolution must undergo a scientific and technological revolution as well as major spiritual changes that are interwoven, complementary, and mutually supportive." He argues that "it is reasonable to assume that how we handle the introduction of digital human-machine capabilities will have a significant impact on the long-term outcomes of our civilization." Recently, he joined Dmitry Itskov's "2045 Initiative," which aims to produce a human-like avatar by 2045. The Singularity and Transhumanism have made him one of its leading proponents. Daniel is also committed to bringing science to the general public through a combination of online and live lectures, the implementation of formats for scientific research and storytelling on popular social media platforms, and contributions to popular science publications and books. His other hobbies include politics, foreign affairs, exploring hi-tech markets and life-science entrepreneurship.
