Poetic Embryology

Science is very often presented as a “knowledge about” in condensed texts where long words are squeezed together in convoluted paragraphs, overheating the reader’s brain and letting their body fade away. But science, biology is not just knowledge – it is also an experience, something we are part of. And the best language to express something we are part of, in this very moment, is poetry. Not by avoiding long words – but by giving them, and the reader, breathing space. Dancing space. If only one poetic image in this book can warm the reader to the beauty, creativity, playfulness and continuing reality of their own very early past the author will be very happy.
