Synopsis

Population is a major issue at national, regional and global levels. At the personal level we have a feel of it on a daily basis. In this article the population we are talking about is the human population. Of course we have other population issues such as the population or size of the forest, the population of aquatic life, the population of animal species etc. However, when we talk of human population, a lot of us are liars, flagrantly dubious and hypocritical. We claim or pretend to love our fellow man and fight to preserve the human race. But we exhibit acts contrary to what we preach or confess: we produce dangerous and satanic military weapons and progress is still made in that direction, we legalize abortion and some doctors boast of how many they have done without complications, we legalize same sex marriage-a union that is sexually sterile etc. We have seen people who fight to preserve forests or reduce desertification but may not bother if humans are destroyed. We have seen the so called honorable members of parliament/national assembly/legislatures pass bills protecting elephants or chimpanzees and even send to jail a man who kills an exotic monkey but pass bills legaliz

Enendu Samuel Emeka has been building his career in Nigeria. He obtained B.sc (Hons.) in Banking/Finance from University of Calabar, M.Sc in Business Administration from Lagos State University and a Certificate in theology. He has taught at various schools and institutions of higher learning such as polytechnics and professional bodies. He is also involved in various other academic works. He is equally a preacher of God's word. He is married with children.
