Synopsis
A telescope could be a very simple device to quite a lot of people. But the truth also is that a lot of people have never seen the telescope. Some who might have seen it could look at it with suspicion. Over the years man had tried to master his environment. He tries to master not only the earth where he stands but also the heavenlies which he admires, adores, worships and sometimes fears.
Though the human eye is powerful and could do a lot of things, however, it is incapacitated and limited in a lot of ways. The telescopic eye comes to the rescue. It probes into the heavenlies and today a lot of people make use of it as hobbies, amateur or even as professionals.
Going through this book you come across the man with a strange eye. Going further you stumble across great scientists like Galileo and Copernicus. The use of observatories have become a common thing and these days advancements have been made in the use of satellites like Nigeria's NigComSat-1. One could still be wondering what is seen with the telescopic eye. Whatever is seen or is believed to be seen, great or small are the handiworks of God.
