Synopsis
The Manorial Society of England and Wales was created by its founders due to the lack of a searchable database of those holding manorial titles in England and Wales. The Manorial Society of England and Wales endeavour to release an annual register of those holding manorial titles that is as comprehensive and up to date as possible from searching records in the public domain and compiling this information into a published book.
HM Land Registry maintains an index of registered manors, however this index of lordship titles stopped receiving new registrations since October 13th 2013.

The Manorial Society of England and Wales was created to help fill the gap left when HM Land Registry stopped recording manorial titles on its register, though those previously registered are maintained.
Through the systematic review of records available to the public and also from private individuals who contact The Manorial Society of England and Wales a list or register of those holding manorial titles is compiled and maintained by the organisation as its main function.
