"As we go about our daily lives, we never realise we are part of history..." When a new virus, originating in Wuhan, China, ravaged the world, in 2020, the lives of millions across the earth were changed dramatically overnight. Families and friends became isolated from each other; workers furloughed, made redundant, or banned from going to work unless necessary; businesses went under; and the NHS proved the true value of its loyal service to the country of Great Britain. We, the generation of 2020, were all part of the massive upheaval that the world faced. This book presents a detailed account and timeline of key events as the virus unravelled, and a montage of individual emotions and experiences that people experienced. Merging collective factual with individual personal accounts, we share how history was made and how the single pieces of the huge jigsaw of COVID-19 fitted together.
