Synopsis
Funmi and Mibi are competitors in Glory Ladder Secondary school. They are both geniuses, hence, the issue lies in the question: who is more brilliant? The poetic-prose doesn't just focus on their intellectual lives, but also puts their family settings in the spotlight. Their families are traditionally-Nigerian and we see how this influences the idiosyncrasies of each girl in the brainy game.
