Murder at the Mustard Seed Bakery

Retired detective Mabel Okafor wanted three things from Juniper Bay: sea air, good flour, and absolutely no crime. She got two out of three. On opening day of the Mustard Seed Bakery, the town's most feared food critic takes one bite of Mabel's prize lemon tart and drops dead in the front window. Now the police chief is eyeing her pastry case, the gossip mill is grinding overtime, and her cat, Inspector Biscuit, has taken a suspicious interest in the critic's handbag. To save her bakery — and her reputation — Mabel will have to dust off her old skills and find out who in this sweet little town had a recipe for murder. A clean, funny, comforting whodunit with recipes included.
