The Architects

Joelle Marin is asked to examine three versions of L-21. A warning about feedback first appears in the main text, is later moved to an appendix, and eventually disappears. As Mara Leitner and her team trace the models through energy, insurance, and infrastructure systems, they uncover a process in which decisions can feed back into the forecasts that shaped them. The trail leads through old mandates, data routes, and people who deliberately altered parts of the architecture. But AXIOM is not a proven all-powerful command center. As an international crisis tightens, Joelle, Mara, and their allies must establish who knew what, which decisions were actually made, and where responsibility lies. A geopolitical thriller about evidence, systems, and the consequences of seemingly neutral models.
