Synopsis
A terrifying legend. A mysterious death. And a creature that should not exist.
When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead on the grounds of his ancestral estate, an ancient family legend suddenly takes on a horrifying new meaning. For generations, the Baskervilles have lived beneath the shadow of a curse: a monstrous hound said to hunt down the members of their bloodline.
Now Sir Henry Baskerville has arrived to claim his inheritance — and perhaps become the curse's next victim.
Summoned to investigate, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson enter a world of whispered warnings, unexplained footprints, suspicious neighbours and secrets buried deep within the desolate landscape of Dartmoor. As Watson watches over Sir Henry at the isolated Baskerville Hall, strange figures appear upon the moor and an unearthly cry echoes through the darkness.
Is the legendary hound truly stalking the Baskerville family?
Or is a human intelligence hiding behind the supernatural terror?
In The Hound of the Baskervilles, Arthur Conan Doyle brings together the precision of the classic detective story and the haunting atmosphere of Gothic fiction.
