In The Music Box, student Franz accompanies his professor to a Nazi era mansion, where a mysterious device forces him to relive the life of Colonel Radner. In The Way of Niobe, Arjen defies his isolated temple’s traditions to save his dying sister, Cybille, in the outside world. Finally, The City on the Other Side depicts the decay of Cydonia, an isolated utopia overwhelmed by war refugees. As the seasons turn, the mood in the city turns dark, and the citizens of the city are forced to deal with a new reality.
