BECOMING AN AI-PRENEUR

My name is Velakhe Solomon Mbingo. I am a social impact professional from Eswatini, currently completing my MPhil in Inclusive Innovation at the University of Cape Town. My work focuses on how technology can widen participation, strengthen local voices, and create measurable social value alongside economic sustainability. Using AI, I recently developed an app focused on inclusive translation, driven by the belief that language should never be a barrier to opportunity, dignity, or participation. I hold a certificate in the Responsible use of AI, and I have seen first-hand how thoughtfully designed technology can serve communities that are often overlooked by mainstream innovation.
