Part I — Philosophy and Martial Sciences Part I explores the philosophical foundations of martial science within the Vishnuh tradition. It approaches warfare not merely as the clash of armies, but as a human phenomenon rooted in thought, intention, fear, discipline, power, and responsibility. Before the warrior confronts an opponent, he must confront himself; before a commander moves an army, he must understand the forces that shape human behaviour. The book examines the relationship between knowledge and wisdom, strategy and restraint, courage and fear, authority and responsibility. It argues that military knowledge becomes meaningful only when governed by judgment and ethical awareness. Victory alone cannot define the highest form of martial achievement, for a victory gained without understanding may create the conditions for another conflict. Part I therefore presents the martial sciences as both an external discipline and an internal philosophy. Its central question is not simply how to fight, but why, when, and under what responsibility force should ever be employed. At its heart lies one principle: “The warrior who cannot master himself cannot responsibly command others.”
