About Jón Guttesen
Jón was born and raised on the Faroe Islands, where the mountains, the sea, and the ever-changing sky shaped his childhood. Growing up, he wandered the cliffs and valleys, listened to the waves, and heard the old Faroese tales passed down through generations. Those stories taught him to see the world as a place where nature, people, and myth belong together.
He has always been fascinated by the ancient Norse fables, where mountains, trees, animals, and the sea are alive with meaning, and where the visible and invisible worlds meet. That fascination later found a companion in the work of the German philosopher Hartmut Rosa and his idea of resonance - the moments when we truly connect with the world around us and allow it to speak back to us.
