Synopsis
Jidoka—Toyota's principle of "automation with a human touch"—is one of the two pillars of the Toyota Production System (TPS). While Just-in-Time is widely known, Jidoka remains one of the least understood Lean principles. This updated second edition brings Jidoka into the era of Industry 4.0, AI, smart factories, and digital transformation.
Building on the original 2020 edition, Soliman integrates the latest advances in artificial intelligence, machine vision, predictive maintenance, and digital twins, providing a practical guide to building resilient, defect-free processes.
