Synopsis

A Chilling Apartment. A Bizarre Medical Secret. A Breath Away from Death. Deep within a suffocating New York City brownstone, a young writer discovers that his upstairs neighbor is no ordinary man. Dr. Muñoz is a brilliant Spanish physician who lives in total isolation, surrounded by an array of specialized machinery that keeps his rooms at a constant, freezing temperature. Drawn to the doctor’s vast intellect and mysterious medical experiments, the writer soon becomes his only companion, helping him maintain the artificial cold that seems to be his absolute lifeline. But as the sweltering summer heat grips the city, the heavy, mechanical pump keeping the apartment frozen begins to fail. What follows is a frantic, desperate race against time to repair the cooling system as Dr. Muñoz undergoes a horrifying physical deterioration. With every passing hour and every rising degree, the terrifying truth about the doctor’s true condition begins to thaw, revealing a secret that defies nature itself. Experience one of H. P. Lovecraft’s most suspenseful and visceral tales of psychological horror. Masterfully blending gothic dread with a shocking sci-fi twist.

About H. P. Lovecraft

H. P. Lovecraft: “The Pioneer of Cosmic Horror” He was born on August 20, 1890, in Providence, Rhode Island, Howard Phillips Lovecraft led a life deeply marked by tragedy, isolation, and financial hardship. Raised by a troubled family after both of his parents suffered mental breakdowns and died in psychiatric care, Lovecraft grew up as a sickly, reclusive child plagued by vivid night terrors. He spent most of his youth immersed in dark literature and science, which heavily shaped his grim view of the world. Despite his immense talent, he lived much of his adult life in near-total poverty, working primarily as a ghostwriter and editor for pulp magazines like Weird Tales. He died of cancer in 1937 at the young age of 46, completely unrecognized by the mainstream literary world.
