About Joseph Yamoah
Joseph Yamoah is the creative force behind The Adventures of Akua & Kwame. Born of a desire to give his own children stories in which African history is told with wonder, dignity, and beauty, he set out to weave the continent's heroes — from Mansa Musa's golden Mali to Wangari Maathai's green hills of Kenya — into a single tapestry guided by Kwaku Anansi, the Keeper of Stories. A graduate of the University of Ghana (UG), Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Geography, and also pursued studies in English Literature there — a combination that taught him to read the world through the forces that shape nations, the lands that hold their stories, and the language that carries them across generations. He later earned a Master of Science in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen (KU), deepening a lifelong interest in how the past speaks to the future of Africa and its children. He believes that every child deserves to see themselves in thee heroes of history.
