What happens when value are no longer measured primarily by work? Imaging forward is a quiet, sensory narrative about a society in transition. In a Denmark on the threshold of introducing Universal Basic Income and a shorter workweek, we follow several characters whose lives slowly begin to change shape. Through everyday moments, conversations, and quiet ruptures, a shift is portrayed, a path taken not through revolution, but through changes in rhythm, systems, attention, and relationships. The book is a hybrid between narrative and thought experiment. It explores what might happen when economic security is no longer tied to constant performance. When work loses its monopoly on value.
