"My story with the opposition For Egypt" 2025

My story is quite modest compared to the stories of others, which are many times more significant and profound than my own. My experience is certainly not filled with the same problems and tragedies as others', perhaps because I live outside Egypt and hold a European passport that shields me from the tyrant's oppression, or perhaps because my opposition is objective—perhaps somewhat sarcastic, but objective and respectful. Therefore, the harm, harassment, and persecution I faced were minimal. Nevertheless, I chose to recount it because it contains aspects that may differ from the norm, and perhaps to see things from a different culture and a different perspective. Fortunately, I have lived most of my life, since I was a young man, in a democratic country. Denmark is a remarkable example of democratic socialism, which has 7 placed it at the forefront in almost everything. Living in developed countries stirs our patriotism and makes us yearn and lament our homeland, Egypt, every day.
