The Lady of the Night

Hermínio C. Miranda is a renowned Spiritist writer. According to himself, Hermínio became interested in Spiritism in 1958, when he abandoned fiction writing and began writing regularly for "O Reformador," a publication of the Brazilian Spiritist Federation. His first book of a Spiritist nature was *Os Procuradores de Deus* (The Prosecutors of God), a philosophical study on the problem of life and death, published in March 1967 by Edição Calvário.[4] The main ideas of this work were later developed in the book *Cristianismo, a Mensagem Esquecida* (Christianity, the Forgotten Message). Author of more than 40 books, including several classics of Spiritist literature, such as *Diálogo com as Sombras* (Dialogue with the Shadows), *Diversidade dos Carismas* (Diversity of Charisms), and *Nossos Filhos são Espíritos* (Our Children are Spirits), which have reached more than 1,400,000 printed copies.[4][6] A large part of his royalties has been donated to philanthropic institutions.
