About Nabil Aleid

Nabil Aleid
I was born in Damascus, Syria, where I served as Head of Training and Development at an insurance organization. In 2015, I made the difficult decision to leave everything behind and move to the Netherlands due to the escalating situation in my home country. Arriving in a new land meant facing a new language, a new culture, and a new system. I spent my first year moving through different cities and refugee centers, adapting constantly. That period tested my resilience, but it also deepened one of my strongest qualities: my ability to connect with people from different backgrounds with empathy and openness. Eventually, I found my place in a small town in the south of the Netherlands. I began studying the language, passed the integration exams, and threw myself into volunteer work, organizing community activities and helping others on their journey to integration. That chapter came with emotional, physical, and mental trials. I even suffered a facial injury due to trauma and unprocessed emotions. But through it all, I kept going. I later took a job in a clothing store for a well-known brand. Although it was far from the role I once held in Syria, I embraced it. Fashion has always been a passion of mine, and I genuinely enjoyed helping people choose clothes that made them feel good. Alongside my job, I pursued a short study in image styling, determined to become independent. I built a small business from scratch— creating content, designing my website, and doing it all without external support or resources. That business didn’t last, but it taught me more than I could have imagined. Out of that experience came my first book, 84 Shades of Style, a reflection of what I’d learned about style, color, and self-expression. Sales were few, but the process was transformative. In time, I turned to writing again, this time more personally. I released Hundred Stares and a Stare, a book of 101 original quotes centered around motivation, self-love, self awareness and positivity . I later translated it into both Dutch and Arabic, despite my limited Dutch vocabulary. Also, I wrote The Noble Messages in Arabic language , a collection of simple yet deep messages that explore different aspects in our life from my own lens. Through all of this, writing has helped me process emotions, pain, express truth, and find strength. It became my way of surviving, healing, and connecting with others and with myself. Life in reality hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced financial instability, rejection, isolation, and emotional pain. But I’ve also experienced powerful growth emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I’ve become more sensitive to energy, more aware of others’ intentions, and more in tune with my own path. Through my books, content, and voice, I aim to share light, insight, and honesty. I believe deeply in awareness, positivity, hope, justice, and the importance of being real even when it’s hard. This is my journey. This is who I am.
