Synopsis
When Kinsale fisherman Seamie Cronin meets the love of his life in Irish American woman Emily Hogan and they plan their future together it appears that he has everything to live for, though nothing is as it seems. Seamie is haunted by past traumas of his troubled childhood which lead him down a dark path of self loathing that threatens to destroy him and all he holds dear. As he searches for a solution he finds that the answers may lie in an ornament he made as a child with his father, the ship in a bottle. Seamie must solve his problems from an analogy or be forever held captive in a state of self destruction. From the author of The German comes a tale of tragedy, trauma, addiction, love, redemption and ultimately hope. Ship in a bottle is a psychoanalytical romantic drama that navigates it's way through the stormy seas of men's mental health.
