About Aurelio Pena
Aurelio Pena worked as foreign correspondent for Asiaweek magazine in Hong Kong for nine years and freelance journalist for Sipa Press in Paris France for eleven years and spent most of his years writing short stories for national magazines in the Philippines. Based in the southern Philippine city of Davao, Pena honed his writing skills at the Silliman University National Writers Workshops in the 1990s writing fiction short stories about ordinary people going through difficult phases of their lives. Before working as journalist for foreign groups, Pena finished a two year writing program at the Writers Institute of America, New York.
