Synopsis
For 30 years, I found things just kept happening to me and finally realised that the problem wasn't me, the problem wasn't anyone else, the problem lay in carrying on with a smile and pretending things either hadn't happened or hoping they hadn't. Along the way, I dived into sport as a way of feeling good as each mentioned sporting incident happened and I shared in fellow fans joys. These include Italia 90, Euro 96, Manchester United treble season, The 2005 Ashes, London 2012 Olympics, The emergence of Tiger Woods and Usain Bolt and the nation's hopes for a victory in the 2020 European Championships.
About Gerrard Riley
Gerrard Riley is not my own name. It is only recently that I finally sought the help that not only should have been offered 30 years ago, but searched for myself at many intervals along the way.
The book is ran alongside the various sporting events and highs that I have escaped from the various traumatic experiences.
