Synopsis
Retired teacher and would-be poet Alun Bye, was born in Bridgend, South Wales, but career advancements brought him to Northampton.
For the past umpteen years, he has sent daily text messages in rhyme to his close friends and family members. Sent at around breakfast time each day, the lucky recipients have been treated to his prolific musings on a wide range of topics in everyday life, written in poetical verse.
Whether humorous, serious, or philosophical, our days would not be the same without them, and so I, his niece, with his permission, decided to produce this book covering a year of his daily poems so that others might share our delight in some of his poetical thoughts on the often enigmatic world we live in.
About Richard Alun Bye
Retired teacher and would-be poet Alun Bye, has, for the past umpteen years, sent daily text messages to his close friends and family, in rhyme. Each sent at approximately 10am each day, the lucky recipients have been treated to musings from anything from the current political shenanigans to the frustrating non-appearance of an anticipated serviceman - in other words, normal life, but in his case written in humorous poems.
Our days would not be the same without him and so I, his niece, decided to produce this book, which covers a year of poems (2017 to be precise) so that others might delight in his perceptive view of the confusing world we live in.
