We live under a natural gold standard

The first troglodyte who came across a shining, glittering little pebble, astonished by the discovery, offered it to a women for some attention, in the first over the counter gold fixing price. The common understanding of this fact, lead nations, at the end of the XIX century, to adopt the gold standard. The economic stability and high standard of living of the period, are part of the stories, that our grand fathers told us repeatedly, when we were young. The World War l, produced the greatest loss of wealth in modern history, and the gold standard made its exit soon afterwards. From that moment on, the empire of paper money was established. The empire has its rules.
