Synopsis

Phyllis is a Nigerian. As a child she had to survive the atrocities of the Biafran war. As adolescent, already married and having children, she studied in Dallas, Texas, USA. There she had to find out what racism means, not only between black and white, but also among black American students and black African or non-American students. Back in Nigeria, she had to experience that hatred between families and voodoo practices are enough to destroy a marriage. Later in Europe, she expected to find friendly, correct, white people, instead, she met with dubious and corrupted business people, even among the police and other officials she could expect … But the worst was yet to come. Running away from corrupted business people in Nigeria, she became the victim of voodoo and black magic in her village and nearly lost her life. That she is still alive and able to write this book is a miracle. I would strongly advise you to read this book, and you will see that even in the deepest and darkest pit, you can find light.
