Synopsis
June McKenzie was born in 1938, the year before the start of World War II. As you can imagine, this was not the best time to enter into a world of fast approaching conflict, nor were the circumstances of her birth ideal. Her father David McKenzie, a quietly spoken man, had recently married for a second time under considerable duress. Already having two young sons by his late wife, David now found himself facing life with a vile tempered woman and another mouth to feed. Home life within the four walls of their modest home was never to be a happy one for David or his children. As the years slipped by, would June ever find the happiness she craved.
